HACKtheMACHINE Austin gathered groups of highly skilled technology and coding experts to serve their country in ways that do not require donning a uniform. Held at the Capital Factory, a collaborative workspace in the heart of Austin, participants were challenged to hack into Booz | Allen | Hamilton's "Boat in a Box". Their "Boat in a Box" software contained various communication interfaces used at sea, including the automatic recognition systems that are used to prevent collision and weather satellite radio systems.

JUNE 2016

HACKtheSKY
SAN FRANCISCO

HACKtheSKY had a diverse collective of nearly 150 of Silicon Valley's best coders, hackers, and all around cyber experts at the warehouse-turned-innovation hub Galvanize in the heart of San Francisco, California. Over the course of 72 hours, attendees were able to tackle the Naval Postgraduate School and the Depart of Navy Innovation's toughest Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Challenge.
